Juliet Lloyd is an acclaimed Washington, DC-based singer/songwriter who has garnered comparisons to Patty Griffin, Grace Potter, Carole King and Chris Stapleton for her signature blend of soulful, roots-infused pop. Across her 20-year career as a writer and artist, Juliet has released three albums, garnering placements on television shows on MTV and VH1 and airplay on more than 175 radio stations across the country. Her 2022 EP High Road, hailed as a “top-tier singer/songwriter album” by reviewers, features songs that earned Juliet top honors in the 2022 Bernard/Ebb Songwriting Awards and Mid-Atlantic Song Contest, four “Wammie” finalist nods, and several other prestigious national songwriter awards in 2023. Both solo and with her band, Juliet has performed 150+ shows a year since the pandemic, including headlining and supporting spots at regional festivals and a growing number of listening rooms across the northeast.

Born and raised in Rochester, NY, Juliet relocated to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music on a vocal scholarship. Within a year of playing her first local gig, Juliet had performed, both solo and with her band, in some of Boston’s best clubs and gained the attention of publications such as the Boston Globe, which proclaimed her to be “on the cusp of stardom.”

Her debut album, All Dressed Up (2005), featured nine songs that garnered awards from Billboard Magazine and Berklee College of Music, and led Juliet to being chosen as a semi-finalist in the Acoustic Live competition in Los Angeles and invited to take part in the prestigious NY Songwriters’ Circle.

Following the release of her sophomore album Leave the Light On (2007), which included songs that have since been featured on “The Real World,” “The Hills” and “Tough Love,” Juliet embarked on a tour of festivals and clubs across the country, from Boston to Los Angeles. Highlights included sharing the stage with international act Travis and opening for classic rock legend America in front of an audience of 10,000. Juliet was named ‘best female vocalist in Boston’ in a poll by Boston’s WBZ-TV, and received glowing coverage in print and television media across the northeast, with the Boston Globe recognizing the album for being “an astonishingly slick independent CD with a big studio sound.”
