Shawn Byrne

    Shawn is a singer/songwriter and producer living in Nashville. Shawn grew up in a small New England town and started his first band at the age of 15. He spent his 20’s drinking beer and playing the Boston music scene while making records with his band the Kickbacks. In 2003 Shawn moved to Nashville and quickly rose up the ranks playing guitar for artists like Taylor Swift, Rodney Atkins, James Otto, Billy Bob Thornton and many of music’s biggest stars. All the while honing his songwriting and producing skills. After ten years of relentless touring Shawn retired from sideman duties to focus on songwriting and production. 
    Shawn is a SESAC award winning writer and was recently awarded the grand prize in American Songwriter Magazine’s annual lyric contest. 
    He has released 3 critically acclaimed country records, an all instrumental surf rock record under the band name The Doke Ohms and is currently working on a solo side project of synth pop/indie rock tunes he calls The Long Waves. His first video/single “Threat of War” racked up close to a million views shorty after release.
     
    When not writing, Shawn spends most of his time in the studio producing records for many up and coming artists. He also composes music for TV and Film and his music can be heard on Grey’s Anatomy and “Spector” Showtime’s Phil Spector Biopic. 
    Last year Shawn was also cast as a band member for Fox’s hit show “Monarch”. as part of the Roman Family Band where he backed up Trace Adkins and Susan Sarandon.
    He also enjoys being a dad to his 5 year old son Arlo and spending time in the woods listening to birds.
